Atlanta's Theater of the Stars Season to Feature Legally Blonde, Jersey Boys and Grease

A resident production of 42nd Street as well as the national tours of Legally Blonde and Jersey Boys will be part of the 2009-2010 season at Atlanta's Theater of the Stars.

The summer launches with Jersey Boys, the Tony-winning musical based on the life and career of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, June 9-14. The national tour of Legally Blonde, starring Becky Gulsvig as the determined Harvard Law student Elle Woods, will arrive in Atlanta July 14-19.

Theater of the Stars will produce a resident production of the Tony Award-winning classic song-and-dance musical 42nd Street July 28-Aug. 2. Creative duties and casting will be announced at a later date.

Also on the bill is the national tour of Grease, based on the recent Broadway revival of the 1950's spoof. Eric Schneider, Emily Padgett and Taylor Hicks star in the tour, which plays the Atlanta venue Aug. 11-16.

The final two productions will be the tour of Kander and Ebb's Chicago, running Sept. 8-13; and Rain, A Tribute To The Beatles, which plays Oct. 6-11.
