A New Theory of Vision Begins Kraine Run March 18

Bob Jude Ferrante's comedy A New Theory of Vision, featuring Eric Percival and Matt Steiner, begins performances at the Kraine Theatre March 18.

Cat Parker directs Ferrante's play, which centers on philosophy professor Lee Krebs, who specializes in the theories of late Irish philosopher George Berkeley. Berkeley's theories were based on the concept that what human beings know as reality is only what their senses are able to perceive. Krebs is aided by a young student named Erich Danton, who conceives of a notion to bring Berkeley back to life in cyberspace.

"I wanted to write a comedy in which we question the unities of our own realities as well as questioning what it means to be truly human. The play reflects a belief that like Erich, all our brains are wired differently. That as minds, we are all snowflakes," said Ferrante in a statement.

The cast of A New Theory of Vision features Eric Percival as Krebs with Matt Steiner as Denton as well as Maeve Yore, Julian Elfer, Brooke Eddey, Sonya Tsuchigane and Laurence Cantor.

The production has scenic design by George Allison, costume design by Karen Ann Ledger, with music and sound design by DJ/BJ.
