PHOTO CALL: NJ Family Wins London/Paris Trip at Mary Poppins' 1,000th Show

Broadway's Mary Poppins celebrated its 1,000th performance April 9 by presenting a vacation to London and Paris to one lucky family.



Following the curtain call at the New Amsterdam Theatre, Disney Theatrical Productions president Thomas Schumacher presented the Moore family of Marlboro, NJ, with a six-night/seven-day vacation package.

Mary Poppins — which currently stars Scarlett Strallen and Adam Fiorentino — opened on Broadway Nov. 16, 2006. The musical features Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman's songs from the film with new songs and additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. Julian Fellowes penned the book.
