Wicked's Lambert Will Vie for "American Idol" Title

Adam Lambert, who was part of the cast of the Los Angeles production of Wicked, has advanced to the finals of the "American Idol" competition.

On May 19 he and Kris Allen will go head-to-head in the country's most-watched singing competition.

The winner will be announced May 20 on FOX Television.

In addition to Wicked, Lambert has also been seen onstage in The Ten Commandments.

Among the many "American Idol" finalists and/or winners who have appeared on Broadway are Fantasia, Diana DeGarmo, Tamyra Gray, Constantine Maroulis, Frenchie Davis, Clay Aiken and Taylor Hicks.
