Craig Stevens Guide to Making it on Broadway Plays the Beechman May 31

Craig Stevens Guide to Making it on Broadway, featuring guest appearances by Broadway's Nick Adams, Tyler Maynard and Jay A. Johnson, is presented at the Laurie Beechman Theatre May 31.

Conceived and written by Kevin Michael Murphy, the 9:30 PM evening is based on the YouTube series "The Craig Stevens Video Blog," which follows the adventures of show-poster collector Craig Stevens and his "girlfriend" Janine.

David Alpert, assistant director for the Guthrie Theater staging of Tony Kushner's The Intelligent Homosexual's Guide to Capitalism…, directs the Beechman performance, which features creator Murphy, as well as Lauren Marcus (ReWrite: The Songs of Joe Iconis) and Lauren C. Adams (Illyria).

Special guests include the aforementioned Adams (Guys and Dolls, Maynard (The Little Mermaid) and Johnson (Hair).

John O'Malley choreographs with musical direction by Andy Hertz and original music by Rob Hartmann.
