The acclaimed, award-winning London revival of Jerry Herman's La Cage aux Folles is headed to Broadway.
The producer of the Tony-winning Best Revival of a Play, The Norman Conquests, announced in the Tony press room that their next Broadway production will be a transfer of the hit West End revival of La Cage aux Folles.
Producer Sonia Friedman said the production will open on Broadway next spring and will feature its Olivier Award-winning star Douglas Hodge.
The revival is directed by Terry Johnson, with choreography by Lynne Page, sets by Tim Shortall, costumes by Matthew Wright, wigs and make-up by Richard Mawbey, musical supervision and orchestrations by Jason Carr and musical direction by Nigel Lilley. It is produced by Chocolate Factory Productions, Sonia Friedman Productions, David Ian Productions, Tulchin/Bartner, The Ambassador Theatre Group, Jamie Hendry, Matthew Mitchell and David Mirvish.
