13 Star Snide to Reprise Role in Jason Robert Brown Musical

Corey J. Snide, who played the lead role of Evan one performance a week in the Broadway production of the Jason Robert Brown musical 13, will reprise that role in the upstate New York premiere of the teen-themed musical.

Presented by Capital Area Productions, the musical will play Rensselaer High School Feb. 5-7.

13 features and music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown and a book by Dan Elish and Robert Horn. The musical, according to press notes, is described as such: "When his parents get divorced and he’s forced to move from New York to a small town in Indiana, Evan Goldman just wants to make friends and survive the school year. Easier said than done. The star quarterback is threatening to ruin his life and his only friend, Patrice, won’t talk to him. The school freak sees an opportunity for blackmail and someone is spreading the nastiest rumors."

The creative team includes producing director Kristina Kennedy-Babcock, music director Nathan Meredith, vocal coach Lisa Franklin, choreographer Corey J. Snide, production stage manager Michael Sykes and dance captain Ashley Aquilo.

Show times are Friday at 7 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and 7 PM and Sunday at 2 PM.
