In his new show, which is titled Caledoni a: Songs for the Homecoming, Morton, press notes state, "dwells on the music of his native Scotland, while mixing in traditional Irish songwriters and modern Celtic fare." He is backed by Bryan Reeder on piano and Maud Reardon on violin and vocals.
The singing actor will play the intimate venue through June 27.
Euan Morton received an Olivier Award nomination for his performance in the London company of Taboo. His other theatre credits include Cyrano de Bergerac, Howard Katz, The Who's Tommy, Measure for Pleasure, Brundibar, Caligula, We Will Rock You, The Silent Treatment, The Matchstalk Man, The Sexual Life of the Camel, Empty Plate in the Café du Grand Boeuf and Approaching Zanzibar as well as the Actors' Fund of America's Hair concert. Morton's debut solo recording is titled "NewClear" and is available on the Lyric Partners label.
