PHOTO CALL: The Wiz, with Ashanti, LaChanze and Co., Opens for Encores! Summer Stars

Ashanti, LaChanze, Orlando Jones and the company of The Wiz celebrated their opening night of the Encores! Summer Stars show now playing New York's City Center.

Thomas Kail directs the the Charlie Smalls-William F. Brown musical with his In the Heights collaborators: Andy Blankenbuehler (choreographer) and Alex Lacamoire (musical director).

Joining Ashanti (as Dorothy), LaChanze (Glinda) and Jones (The Wiz) are Tichina Arnold (Evillene), Dawnn Lewis (Addaperle), Joshua Henry (Tinman), James Monroe Iglehart (Lion) and Christian White (Scarecrow).
