Opel, Masterson and Steeves Read Bang Zoom July 28

Tony nominee Nancy Opel leads the cast of a private reading of Danny Jacobson's Bang Zoom on July 28 at the Bleecker Street Theatre.

Directed by Eli Gonda (Sleepwalk with Me, The Crow Mill), Bang Zoom is described as "a hilarious story about an unlikely partnership. A righteous Park Avenue lawyer unwittingly invites the devil into his life in the form of a gambling, womanizing waiter."

In addition to Opel (Toxic Avenger, Urinetown), the cast features Danny Masterson ("That 70's Show," Yes Man), Todd Grinnell ("Parks and Recreation," "Four Kings"), Finnerty Steeves (Almost, Maine, "Away We Go"), David Beach (Urinetown), Catherine Reitman ("The Real Wedding Crashers," "Knocked Up") and Regan Thompson.

Playwright Danny Jacobson, one of the original writers of "Roseanne" and co-creator of "Mad About You," has also written for the television series "Soap" and "Fame."
