FringeNYC Productions to Return for September Encore Series

Jason Mitchell's The Boys Upstairs and I Can Has Cheezburger: The MusicLOL! have been selected to be part of the Fringe Encore Series.

The 13th annual New York International Fringe Festival ran Aug. 14-30 at various venues across Manhattan. FringeNYC offerings ranged from the outrageous to the classics, including straight plays, musicals, dance, performance art, spoken word, improv, puppetry and multimedia.

The Encore series will run in repertory at the Soho Playhouse and the Actors' Playhouse Sept. 10-27.

The Soho Playhouse will host Viral, The Boys Upstairs, A Contemporary American's Guide to a Successful Marriage, His Greatness, And Sophie Comes Too, Complete, Sex and the Holy Land, Notes on the Land of Earthquake & Fire, Jesus Ride, Dolls and The K of D, an urban legend.

Productions staged at the Actors' Playhouse include Devil Boys from Beyond; I Can Has Cheezburger: The MusicLOL!; MoM - A Rock Concert Musical; Powerhouse; Zipperface!!?!: The Hobo Musical; Terranova; Tales from the Tunnel; Muffin Man; and Willy Nilly: A Musical Exploitation of the Most Far-Out Cult Murders of the Psychedelic Era.
