Two stars of a Tony-winning Broadway hit "shine" one last time, while Off-Broadway shows about a blind street musician, a Dublin married couple and a contemporary experiment with Shakespeare end their runs.

  • Kiril Kulish, Billy Elliot (On Broadway at the Imperial Theatre). The first of Broadway's original Billys exits the role that earned him and his rotating co-stars a Tony Award.   • Othello (Off-Broadway at the Skirball Center). Academy Award winner Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Ortiz star as Iago and Othello, respectively, in Peter Sellars' four-hour contemporary take on Shakespeare's tale of greed and power, which has been reset within the American military regime of the 21st century.   • The Pride of Parnell Street (Off-Broadway at 59E59 Theaters). Sebastian Barry's play, presented as part of the 1st Irish Festival, features Aidan Kelly and Mary Murray as a married couple who investigate their relationship with each other and the city of Dublin.   • Blind Lemon Blues (Off-Broadway at the York Theatre Company). Akin Babatunde stars in the title role of the musical that incorporates over 60 songs to celebrate the legacy of late blind street musician Blind Lemon Jefferson. For tickets visit YorkTheatre.

  • Haydn Gwynne, Billy Elliot (On Broadway at the Imperial Theatre). After earning an Olivier Award nomination for originating the role of chain-smoking dance teacher Mrs. Wilkinson in London, British actress Haydn Gwynne earned a Tony nomination for re-creating the role in her Broadway debut.
