Josh Young and Laura Pietropinto will present the second installment of Cutting Edge Composers: A New Generation of Musical Theater Songwriters Nov. 9 at the Canal Room in Manhattan.

The 8 PM concert will boast the talents of Skylar Astin (Spring Awakening), Nick Blaemire (Glory Days), Tituss Burgess (The Little Mermaid; Guys and Dolls), Joe Cassidy (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), Jenn Colella (High Fidelity), Colin Hanlon (Rent), Gemma-Ashley Kaplan (The Hatpin), Jeremy Kushnier (Footloose, Jersey Boys), Brooke Sunny Moriber (The Threepenny Opera), Zachary Prince (Jersey Boys), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent) and Josh Young (Les Miserables).
The artists will interpret songs penned by Brad Alexander and Adam Mathias, Jonathan Reid Gealt, Joe Iconis, Peter Lerman, Creighton Irons and Sean Mahoney, Brian Lowdermilk and Kait Kerrigan, Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen, Ryan Scott Oliver, Jeremy Schonfeld, Joshua Salzman and Ryan Cunningham.
Laura Pietropinto will direct the evening with musical direction by Julie McBride.
