Alexander Dinelaris' Still Life, featuring Sarah Paulson, Frederick Weller, Dominic Chianese and Adriane Lenox, officially opens Off-Broadway Oct. 5 for MCC Theater at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

Will Frears (Omnium Gatherum) directs the world premiere that began previews Sept. 16 for a run currently scheduled through Nov. 1.

"In Still Life," press notes state, "photographer Carrie Ann inexplicably shuts down at the pinnacle of her career. Lost, and afraid to even pick up a camera, her sudden descent is interrupted by a whirlwind romance with Jeff, a trend analyst who becomes determined to help her move on, even while facing his own dark future."

Paulson ("Studio 60 on Sunset Strip," "Cupid," "Deadwood"), Weller ("In Plain Sight," "The Shape of Things"), Chianese ("The Sopranos") and Lenox (Doubt) are featured in a cast that also includes Halley Feiffer ("Margot at the Wedding"), Ian Kahn ("The Unusuals"), Kelly McAndrew (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Matthew Rauch (Prelude to a Kiss).

Recently seen Off-Broadway in The Gingerbread House and Crimes of the Heart, Paulson's other stage credits include Cherry Orchard, The Glass Menagerie, The Sisters Rosensweig and Killer Joe. Weller has been seen on stage in Glengarry Glen Ross, Take Me Out, Some Men, Peter and Jerry and Seascape.

The design team features David Cornis (scenic), Sarah J. Holden (costume), David Weiner (lighting) and Fitz Patton (sound). Michael Friedman provides original music.

MCC will next present the American premiere of Alexi Kaye Campbell's The Pride, directed by Joe Mantello (Jan. 27-March 14, 2010). Jonathan Demme ("Silence of the Lambs") will then direct Beth Henley's Family Week featuring Rosemarie Dewitt (Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, "Rachel Getting Married") and Sarah Jones (Bridge & Tunnel, In Transit)(April 7-May 23, 2010).

Tickets to MCC Theatre's shows at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, 121 Christopher Street, are currently available by subscription ($99 for the three-play season) at www.mcctheater.org.
