Nora and Delia Ephron's Love, Loss, and What I Wore, which officially opened Oct. 1 at Off-Broadway's Westside Theater, has extended its limited engagement through the New Year.

Originally scheduled to play a 12-week run through mid-December, the production, which utilizes a rotating cast of actors, will now continue through March 2010.

In a statement producer Daryl Roth said, "It’s very apparent to all of us committed to this production that Love, Loss, and What I Wore is touching audiences at every performance. I am so happy to know that their reaction is giving this wonderful piece an extended life, and that people of all ages – mothers, daughters, sisters, friends – are all relating to these moving and funny stories."

The opening cast (through Oct. 18) features Samantha Bee, Tyne Daly, Katie Finneran, Natasha Lyonne and Rosie O'Donnell. The second cast (Oct. 21-Nov. 15) will include Mary Birdsong, Tyne Daly, Lisa Joyce, Jane Lynch and Mary Louise Wilson. The Nov. 18–Dec. 13 cast comprises Kristin Chenoweth, Lucy DeVito, Capathia Jenkins, Rhea Perlman and Rita Wilson. Casting for the extension will be announced shortly.

The Ephrons' play, based on Ilene Beckerman's book of the same name, began previews Sept. 21. Karen Carpenter directs the work "about clothes and the memories they trigger."

The design team includes Jo Winiarski (scenic design), Jessica Jahn (costume design), Jeff Croiter (lighting design), Walter Trarbach (sound design) and Maria Verel (make-up design).

Carpenter also directed the Monday night readings of Love, Loss, and What I Wore that were presented this past winter and spring as a benefit for Dress for Success. A portion of the proceeds from the current run will also benefit Dress for Success.
