The Pee-wee Herman Show, which had been scheduled to play Los Angeles' Music Box Theatre beginning Nov. 8, will now play the larger Club Nokia @ LA Live beginning Jan. 12, 2010.

This theatrical production, according to press notes, is for "grown-ups and appropriate for ages 16 to 106."

In a statement Paul Reubens said, "I'm really excited that fans are responding so incredibly to Pee-wee's return. To the fans who already bought tickets, I apologize for the inconvenience of the venue and date changes and am arranging for you to come backstage and say hello! Thanks to our friends at Goldenvoice, we are able to bring a bigger show to a larger audience at various ticket prices. I'm thrilled to have the talented Scott Sanders join the production as lead producer and Alex Timbers come on board as director."

This new version of The Pee-wee Herman Show has been adapted from the original production by Reubens, Bill Steinkellner and John Paragon. Joining this production, press notes state, are "Miss Yvonne, Mailman Mike, Cowboy Curtis and Jambi the Genie, as well as Pee-wee's talking chair, Chairry, Pterri the pterodactyl, Conky the robot, Magic Screen, Randy, and lots more."

David Korins, the show's scenic designer, will work with Gary Panter, designer of both the original stage production and CBS's "Pee-wee's Playhouse." Composer Jay Cotton will pen new music for the stage production.

Tickets already purchased for the Music Box run can be exchanged for comparable seats beginning Oc. 7 at 10 AM through Oct. 13 at 10 PM via Ticketmaster by calling (800) 653-8000; ticket holders should have their original confirmation number when calling.
