PHOTO CALL: Anna Deavere Smith Opens in Let Me Down Easy Off-Broadway

Anna Deavere Smith celebrated the opening of her latest solo show, Let Me Down Easy, Off-Broadway at Second Stage Theatre Oct. 7.

Leonard Foglia (Master Class) directs the New York debut of the show, which is playing at the midtown Manhattan venue through Nov. 8.

"Channeling a dramatic range of interview subjects, from artists and athletes to doctors and those they treat," Smith, according to a Let Me Down Easy synopsis, explores "the power of the body and the resilience of the human spirit, featuring first person accounts from a wide variety of sources, including Lance Armstrong and former Texas Governor Ann Richards."
