Susannah Schulman will join Tony Carlin as the heartbroken parents at the center of David Lindsay-Abaire's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Rabbit Hole for the Hudson Stage Company.

Schulman, who appeared in the national tour of Steve Martin's Picasso at the Lapin Agile, will portray Becca opposite previously announced actor Tony Carlin (Mary Stuart, Pygmalion, Heartbreak House) as her husband Howie.

Dan Foster stages the production that also includes Lucy Martin (Hedda Gabler, The Constant Wife, Joe Egg), Theo Allyn (All Through The Night, Mezzulah) and newcomer Brandon Gill. Rabbit Hole runs Nov. 6-21.

According to Hudson Stage, Rabbit Hole centers on a couple "who have everything a family could want, until a life-shattering accident turns their world upside down and leaves the couple drifting perilously apart. Alternately sad and funny, Rabbit Hole is a deeply human look at one family’s attempts to come to terms with the impossible and emerge stronger than before."

The Hudson Stage engagement has lighting design by Andrew Gmoser, set design by Andreea Mincic, sound design by Jon Kadela and costume design by Joanne Haas. Denise Bessette and Olivia Sklar produce.

Rabbit Hole earned five 2006 Tony Award nominations, including Best Play. The production starred Cynthia Nixon, John Slattery, Tyne Daly, John Gallagher Jr. and Mary Catherine Garrison. Lindsay-Abaire has also penned Fuddy Meers, Kimberly Akimbo, Wonder of the World and Shrek the Musical, the latter with composer Jeanine Tesori.
