5th Avenue's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, with Fedorov, Begins Oct. 10

"American Idol" contestant Anthony Fedorov is the favorite son in the 5th Avenue Theatre production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, beginning Oct. 10 in Seattle.
5th Avenue veteran James A. Rocco (White Christmas, Singin' in the Rain) directs and choreographs the Andrew Lloyd Webber-Tim Rice musical that runs through Nov. 1. Jayme McDaniel provides additional choreography with R.J. Tancioco as musical director.
Fedorov, who also appeared Off-Broadway in The Fantasticks, stars in the title role with Jennifer Paz as the Narrator and Billy Joe Huels as Pharoah.
Principal casting also includes Richard Gray (Potiphar), Hugh Hastings (Jacob), David Alewine (Issachar), Logan Benedict (Simeon), Mo Brady (Zebulun), Gabriel Corey (Benjamin), Marc Dela Cruz (Gad), Michael Dela Cruz (Judah), Ben Gonio (Dan), Brandon O'Neill (Asher), Daniel C. Levine (Napthali), Troy L. Wageman (Levi) and Dane Stokinger (Rueben).
The female ensemble features Heather Apellanes, Charissa Bertels, Taryn Darr, Brittany Jamieson, Nikki Long, Trina Mills, Kasey Nusbickel, Shanna Marie Palmer, Kat Ramsburg, Pamela Turpen and Lauren P. Warnke.
The
Joseph creative team comprises scenic designer Martin Christoffel, lighting designer Tom Sturge and sound designer Zach Williamson.
The biblical vaudeville Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has a score by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tim Rice. The production premiered on Broadway in 1982 at the Royale Theatre starring Bill Hutton and Laurie Beechman. A 1993 revival featured Michael Damian and Kelli Rabke.
