Huffman, Blackhurst and McKechnie Announced for 42nd Street Moon Lyricist Salons

Tony Award-winning actress Cady Huffman will perform in I Feel A Song Coming On presented by the 42nd Street Moon in San Francisco on Oct. 13.

The 7 PM salon, which celebrates the work of late lyricist Dorothy Fields, is set to include performances by Huffman (The Producers, Will Rogers Follies), as well as Klea Blackhurst, Bill Fahrner, Alexandra Kaprelian and Darlene Popovich.

Greg MacKellan directs the event at the Alcazar Theatre. The evening features choreography by Zach Thomas and musical direction by Dave Dobrusky. Gerald Nachman and Greg MacKellan authored the show. A reception will follow the performance.

Dorothy Fields' numerous stage contributions include the musicals Annie Get Your Gun, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Seesaw, Sweet Charity, Redhead and Sugar Babies. Her collaborations with writers Jerome Kern, Harold Arlen, Cy Coleman and Jimmy McHugh will be featured in the evening.

It has also been revealed that Tony-winning actress Donna McKechnie (A Chorus Line, State Fair, Follies), will lead the Ira Gershwin Salon on Jan. 28, 2010.
