  • A Disaster Begins (At HERE Arts Center). Tony nominee Veanne Cox relives the Galveston Hurricane of 1900 in Obie winner Ain Gordon's one-woman work born from the M. Halstead disaster series publication of "The Galveston Flood." For tickets visit HERE.

  • Killers and Other Family (Off-Broadway at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater). Rattlestick revives Lucy Thurber's drama about a sister who must confront her unpleasant past when her brother and his cohort arrive and demand that she hide them. For tickets visit Rattlestick.org.

  • Lizzie Borden (At the Living Theatre). Jenny Fellner stars in the title role of the rock musical by Steven Cheslik-DeMeyer, Alan Stevens Hewitt and Tim Maner that takes on the infamous account of the New England woman who was acquitted of murdering her parents with an axe.   • Is Life Worth Living? (Off-Broadway at the Mint Theater). Theatre couple Jordan Baker and Kevin Kilner star in Lennox Robinson's comedy about a pair of married actors who travel with their theatrical troupe across Ireland. For tickets visit MintTheater.

  • Mahida's Extra Key to Heaven (Off-Broadway at Symphony Space). The Epic Theatre Ensemble stages the world-premiere production of Russell Davis' haunting play about a painter who visits his mother in the Northwest and encounters a shattered Iranian college student.
