Pre-Release CD Listening Party for Rooms: a rock romance Held Oct. 14

Leslie Kritzer and Doug Kreeger, who co-starred in the short-lived Rooms: a rock romance, are scheduled to perform at an Oct. 14 party celebrating the upcoming release of the musical's CD.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival, Van Hill Entertainment and Time Life Records present the pre-release and listening party at Sweet Caroline's in Manhattan. The evening will begin at 8:30 PM.

The recording is produced by Grammy nominee Robert Sher; producing associate is Brandon Wardell. A release date has not been announced.

ROOMS: a rock romance, according to press notes, "begins in 1970s Glasgow where Monica, an ambitious singer/songwriter meets Ian, a reclusive rocker. The two quickly become entangled creatively and romantically. Their music takes them first to London and ultimately to New York City, where they discover the vibrant new music scene and create an intimate partnership, their love deepening while their personalities drive them apart."

The musical features music and lyrics by Paul Scott Goodman and book by Goodman and Miriam Gordon. Scott Schwartz directed.
