Feldshuh will be honored alongside Shubert Organization Chairman Philip J. Smith with the "Friend of the Arts Award" from Town Hall on Oct. 18. She will also be recognized by the Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center on Oct. 19.
The stage veteran will be presented with the Yad Vashem Remembrance Award by the American and International Societies for Yad Vashem on Nov. 8; and will receive an honorary doctorate from Yeshiva University alongside Director of the National Economic Council for the Obama Administration Lawrence H. Summers on Dec. 13 at the Waldorf-Astoria.
On Jan. 10, 2010, Feldshuh will receive the first-ever "Theatre Arts Award" from the America Israel Cultural Foundation at their 70th anniversary gala at Carnegie Hall.
Tovah Feldshuh received Tony Award nominations for her work in Golda's Balcony, Yentl, Sarava and Lend Me a Tenor. Her theatre roles have also garnered the actress four Drama Desk Awards, four Outer Critics Circle Awards, an Obie and a Theatre World Award. Feldshuh's numerous screen credits include "Holocaust," "Kissing Jessica Stein," "The Lady in the Water" and "O Jerusalem."
