William Brown again stages the Charles Dickens-based stage show (for his fourth year). The production, which runs Nov. 20-Dec. 31, will feature a new hand-painted backdrop designed by Tony Award-winning set designer Todd Rosenthal.
Based on Dickens' 1843 novella, A Christmas Carol tells "the tale of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, who is opposed to holiday cheer and indifferent to the sufferings of the poor in Victorian London," as a show announcement explains.
Joining Yando in the cast will be newcomers John Babbo (as Tiny Tim), Susan Felder (Mrs. Fezziwig), Jessie Mueller (Belle), Christine Sherrill (Mrs. Cratchit), Behzad Dabu (Dick Wilkins), Matt Gold (Turkey Boy), Lauren Patten (Martha Cratchit), Michael Perez (Mr. Ortle), Nathan Sabo (Peter Cratchit and Scrooge as a Boy), Alex Weisman (Ghost of Christmas Past), Mackenzie Wilkin (Belinda Cratchit and Fan) and Andy Truschinski (Young Scrooge and Ghost of Christmas Future).
Also featured in the ensemble are returning veteran actors Tim Gittings (Topper), Caroline Heffernan (Emily Cratchit), Katie Jeep (Abby), Anish Jethmalani (Ghost of Jacob Marley), Anne Joseph (Mrs. Crumb), Adam Poss (Percy), Ron Rains (Bob Cratchit), Matt Schwader (Fred), Brett Tuomi (Mr. Fezziwig) and Penelope Walker (Ghost of Christmas Present). Returning musicians include Justin Amolsch, Greg Hirte, Bethany Jorgensen and Malcolm Ruhl.
