Wished on the Moon: A Tribute to Dorothy Parker, conceived and performed by Eadie Scott, makes a second 2009 cabaret appearance in Manhattan on Nov. 4.

Following an August performance at the Laurie Beechman, Scott now brings her act — "the journey of one woman in her search for love using monologues, poetry and lyrics written by Dorothy Parker" — to Don't Tell Mama at 343 W. 46th Street at 7 PM.

In the evening, Scott does not portray humorist Dorothy Parker, but seeks "to capture her essence through a character that's inspired by Parker's pen." Expect Scott to sing and recount the tales of loves lost "with pathos, hope and timeless humor." Songwriters represented include Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Francesca Blumenthal, John Meyer and others. All spoken text is by Dorothy Parker.

Directed by Collette Black with musical direction by Ricky Ritzel, the performance is $15 with a two-drink minimum.

Wished on the Moon was originally conceived and performed by Eadie Scott in 1993 as a celebration of Dorothy Parker's 100th birthday. Scott received Cab Magazine's "Best New Artist Award."

Scott appeared in the 2009 Mac Award-nominated revue What's the Point? Other cabaret revues include What in the World? (Nightlife Award) and Our Life & Times (Mac Award). Other New York credits are Jonestown the Musical at the Fringe Festival and Voice of the City at the York Theater. Regional credits include Evita (Walnut Street Theatre), The Pirates of Penzance (Pittsburgh Public Theater), A Christmas Carol and My Fair Lady (Geva Theater). She'll return to the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia in spring 2010 for Fiddler on the Roof.
