Pirandello Under the Lens of Classic Stage in November; Turturro Is Henry IV

Off-Broadway's Classic Stage Company announced details of its new First Look Festival, a program of one-night-only staged readings devoted this fall to the works of Nobel Prize-winning writer Luigi Pirandello.

Acclaimed actor John Turturro will perform the title role in Pirandello's Henry IV on two evenings.

Pirandello famously pushed the boundaries of drama in his lifetime, 1867-1936.

The schedule for this year's First Look Festival is:

Monday, Nov. 16 at 8 PM

CSC is kicking off its mainstage season Nov. 6 with The Age of Iron, a melding of two Elizabethan scripts about the Trojan War: Shakespeare's Troilus and Cressida and Thomas Heywood's Iron Age. Opening is Nov. 22 for a run to Dec. 13.
