Monk, Lee, Ellis and Wilson to Recall Love, Loss and What I Wore Off-Broadway

Tony Award winner Debra Monk and two-time Tony nominee Michele Lee are among the latest artists who will join the Off-Broadway cast of Nora and Delia Ephron's Love, Loss, and What I Wore .



In addition to Monk (Curtains, Steel Pier, Redwood Curtain) and Lee (Tale of the Allergist's Wife, Seesaw), Love, Loss will also welcome Tracee Ellis Ross ("Girlfriends") and Casey Wilson ("Saturday Night Live"). The new set of actresses will begin performances Jan. 6, 2010, alongside returning cast member, Tony winner Katie Finneran (Noises Off, Pig Farm).

From Nov. 18-Dec. 13 Love, Loss, and What I Wore will welcome Kristin Chenoweth, Lucy DeVito, Capathia Jenkins, Rhea Perlman and Rita Wilson.

Beginning Dec. 16-Jan. 3, 2010, the cast will feature Tony winners Mary Louise Wilson and Finneran, as well as Lucy DeVito, Capathia Jenkins and Natasha Lyonne.

Karen Carpenter directs Ephron's play "about clothes and the memories they trigger," based on Ilene Beckerman's book of the same name. Performances began Sept. 21.

The design team includes Jo Winiarski (scenic design), Jessica Jahn (costume design), Jeff Croiter (lighting design), Walter Trarbach (sound design) and Maria Verel (make-up design).

Carpenter also directed the Monday night readings of Love, Loss, and What I Wore that were presented this past winter and spring as a benefit for Dress for Success. A portion of the proceeds from the current run will benefit Dress for Success.
