Creators Nick Blaemire (music/lyrics) and James Gardiner (book) will be joined by original Broadway cast members Steven Booth, Andrew C. Call, Adam Halpin and Jesse J.P. Johnson for the 11:30 PM reunion concert.
The evening also promises special guests from the casts of Hair, Xanadu, South Pacific, Avenue Q, Wicked, Rock of Ages and American Idiot , all of whom participated in various incarnations of Glory Days during its development.
Sh-K-Boom's Ghostlight Records label captured the original cast recording in July. A release date for the album has not been announced.
Glory Days transferred to Broadway's Circle in the Square in May 2008 after a run at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA. Critics didn't warm to the musical about four high school friends who reunite on a football field a year after graduating. After playing 17 previews, Glory Days shuttered following its opening-night performance.
The creators are currently at work revising the musical, which will be available for licensing shortly.
For tickets to the concert, priced $20, visit JoesPub. Joe's Pub is located within the Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street.
