Four Tony-nominated parents hash out their last battle on Broadway, while a collection of Wilder plays and a story of a cancer survivor conclude performances Off-Broadway.

Here's Playbill.com's weekly "Last Chance" reminder to catch Broadway, Off-Broadway and world-premiere productions before they close.

Concluding Nov. 14

  • Marcia Gay Harden, James Gandolfini, Hope Davis and Jeff Daniels in God of Carnage (On Broadway at the Bernard Jacobs Theatre). The play's original foursome, who all received Tony nominations for their work (including a Tony win for Harden), depart Yasmina Reza's hit comedy about parents attempting to resolve a playground dispute between their children. A new cast including Jimmy Smits, Annie Potts, Ken Stott and Christine Lahti begin their own battle Nov. 17. For tickets visit Telecharge.

  • Such Things Happen Only in Books (Off-Broadway at the Clurman Theatre). The Keen Company presents the evening of Thornton Wilder short plays that includes the titular work, as well as Cement Hands, The Angel That Troubled the Waters, In Shakespeare and the Bible and Now the Servant’s Name Was Malchus.
