Ryah Nixon and Jason Kappus star in the Village Theatre production of Meet Me in St. Louis, which begins performances in Issaquah, WA, Nov. 11.
Nixon (Fat Camp, Bubble Boy) portrays Esther Smith, with Kappus (Catch Me If You Can) as John Truitt, the boy next door. The company also features John Patrick Lowrie (Stunt Girl) as Mr. Smith, Frances Leah King (Little Women) as Mrs. Smith, John David Scott (Beauty and the Beast) as Lon Smith, Bryan Tramontana (Camelot) as Rose Smith, Katie Griffith as Agnes Smith, Analiese Emerson Guettinger (Joseph and the Amazing…) as Tootie Smith, Bobbi Kotula as Katie, Larry Albert as Grandpa Prophater, Ian Lindsay as Warren Sheffield, and John X. Deveney as Motorman and Postman.
The Meet Me in St. Louis ensemble comprises Carissa Campbell, Elise Campello, Casey Craig, Kristen Culp, Eric Engelhard, Carly Squires Hutchinson, Cassidy Katims, Cameron Lewis, Mary McIntosh, Henry Nettleton, Mara Solar, Adam Somers, Justine Rose Stillwell and Bill Williams.
Designers include Steven Capone (scenic design), Aaron Copp (lighting design) and Cynthia Savage (costume design).
Set during the 1904 World's Fair, Meet Me in St. Louis has a book by Hugh Wheeler and a score by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane. Popular songs from the stage production include "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "The Boy Next Door" and "The Trolley Song."
