Tony and Emmy Award winner Elaine Stritch will return to the Cafe Carlyle next year with a brand-new cabaret program.
Rob Bowman will be the musical director for the concerts, which will feature orchestrations by Tony, Oscar, Grammy and Emmy Award winner Jonathan Tunick.
"Well, the sign is up out front on Madison: 'Elaine Stritch: At Home at the Carlyle' — yet again," Stritch said in a statement. "God help me!"
Elaine Stritch received Tony and Emmy Awards for Elaine Stritch at Liberty, which traces a stellar career that boasts roles in Company, The Little Foxes, Bus Stop, A Delicate Balance, Sail Away and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
Composer-lyricist Stephen Sondheim turns 80 in 2010.
Show times will be Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8:45 PM. There will be a $125 music charge for all performances.
