The one-night-only event will feature songwriters talking about – and performing — the songs they wrote. The program will include recollections from High School of Music and Art alumnus Charles Fox as well as songwriters Hal David, Alan Bergman, Charles Strouse, Paul Williams, Alan Menken and David Zippel. Tony Walton directs.
The work of other school alums — including songwriters Marilyn Bergman, Cy Coleman and Ed Kleban — will also be performed. Show time is 7 PM.
The 500-seat Little Flower Theatre is located at 100 Amsterdam Avenue at 66th Street. Tickets are $300 and include a post-show reception with the songwriters and special guests at O'Neal's Restaurant (46 West 64th Street).
