The Tony-winning musical Billy Elliot celebrated its first year on Broadway with a party at the theatre Nov. 13.

In attendance were members of the creative team, producers and entire current cast, including all six young actors to take on the title role (including Dayton Tavares and Liam Redhead, who will join the cast in December).

The musical earned ten 2009 Tony Awards, including one for Best Musical. Billy Elliot has music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreography by Peter Darling and direction by Stephen Daldry. The production opened on Nov. 13, 2008, at Broadway's Imperial Theatre.
