PHOTO CALL: Memphis in the Recording Studio

The cast of Broadway's Memphis headed into the studio Nov. 16 to work on the show's forthcoming cast album.



While no release date has been announced, the staff at the Shubert Theatre has been taking orders for the recording.

The David Bryan-Joe DiPietro rock musical opened on Broadway Oct. 19. Chad Kimball and Montego Glover head a cast that also features J. Bernard Calloway (The Good Negro, "The Taking of Pelham 123") as Delray, James Monroe Iglehart (Spelling Bee) as Bobby, Cass Morgan (Mary Poppins, Ring of Fire) as Gladys Calhoun, Derrick Baskin (The Little Mermaid as Gator and Tony nominee Michael McGrath (Spamalot, Is He Dead?) as Mr. Simmons.
