Hair star Bryce Ryness joins fellow Broadway veterans Tituss Burgess and Rebecca Naomi Jones for an industry concert reading of the new musical Salvage.

Harris Doran will direct the concert presentations on Dec. 1 at New World Stages. Matt Hinkley will musical direct. Zach Lezberg will produce.

Featuring a book and lyrics by Harris Doran and music by Arthur Lafrentz Bacon, Salvage is billed as a new "rock/R&B musical that "follows the story of Skyler Golden (Ryness), a found object artist, who wants 'to see the world different... literally,' according to a show announcement. "While trying to transform a self-destructive thrift shop beauty (Jones), a rich kid who wants to make his own way (Burgess), and maneuver through an art world working to strip his integrity, Skyler must learn to transform his own life the way he does with his art and finally salvage himself."

Ryness stars in the Broadway cast of Hair and has appeared in Rent and Legally Blonde. Burgess has performed on Broadway in Guys and Dolls, The Little Mermaid and Jersey Boys. Jones, who played on Broadway in Passing Strange, recently appeared in the world premiere of Green Day's American Idiot.

The cast also includes Amy Coleman, Ben Curtis, Natalie Joy Johnson, Ramona Keller, Michael Winther, Romelda T. Benjamin, Aaron Berk, Ryan Duncan, Kevin Smith Kirkwood, Ian Scott McGregor, Kate Pazakis, Julie Reiber, Megan Reinking, Jen Sese, Derrick Trumbly and Juson Williams.
