| The Tonics |
The Tonics, the vocal quartet known for their intricate harmonies, will reunite for the first time in over 15 years in February 2010.
The group, which comprises Cortés Alexander, Michael Patrick Coughlin, Gene Reed and Kathie Talbot, will play three performances at Joe's Pub in Manhattan. Performance dates are Feb. 28, March 1 and March 8; the final date will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Expect tunes that run the gamut from Stephen Sondheim to Stevie Wonder.
Alexander was in the Tony Award-winning show Liza's at the Palace; his new CD "Swell" is available on iTunes and CDBaby.com. Coughlin is a songwriter whose work can be heard on MySpace.com. Reed is a member of the Dan Band and can also be seen in the film "Old School." Talbot is a film/TV composer and music producer, whose music and voice can be heard on "Ugly Betty," "CSI," "Burn Notice" and "The Mentalist."
