New York Stage and Film to Honor Margulies and Platt at 25th Anniversary Gala

New York Stage and Film will honor actress Julianna Margulies and producer Marc Platt at their upcoming annual winter gala Dec. 13.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the company will celebrate at New York City's The Plaza Hotel at 7 PM.

Margulies and Platt will be honored "for their extraordinary achievements in theatre, film and television, as well as their ongoing commitment to live performance and support of New York Stage and Film," according to an announcement.

Actress Margulies — known for her work on "ER," "The Sopranos" and currently "The Good Wife" — has appeared on stage in Broadway's Festen, The 24 Hour Plays and Off-Broadway in Intrigue with Faye.



Producer Platt is currently represented on Broadway by the musical Wicked. He has also been a producer on Broadway's Three Days of Rain, Pal Joey, the film "Rachel Getting Married" and the HBO miniseries "Empire Falls."

Christine Baranski, George Clooney, Jonathan Demme, Andy Garcia, Anne Hathaway, Nicole Kidman, Denis Leary, Rob Marshall & John DeLuca, James L. Nederlander, Julia Roberts, Paul Rudd, Stephen Schwartz, and Reese Witherspoon serve as honorary chairs for the gala.
