Rupert Hill and Sarah Jayne Dunn are to star in a 2010 U.K tour of the stage version of When Harry Met Sally, playing the title roles originated in the 1989 film by Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan respectively. The tour begins performances at Wakefield's Theatre Royal from Feb. 3, prior to a national press night the following week at Windsor's Theatre Royal Feb. 9, before continuing on the road with dates booked through June.

This stage version, adapted by Marcy Kahan from the film script by Nora Ephron, was originally premiered at the West End's Theatre Royal, Haymarket in 2004 with a cast led by Luke Perry and Alyson Hannigan. It subsequently toured the U.K in 2005. This new production is presented by Jamie Wilson Productions, directed by Michael Gyngell, designed by Tim McQuillen-Wright and has lighting by Ben Cracknell. It features music by Ben Cullum and his brother, jazz sensation Jamie.

According to press materials, When Harry Met Sally spans a dozen years, to tell the story of a pair of New Yorkers and the friendship that develops between them as they date (other people rather than one another!) and share the trials and tribulations of relationships, to pose the burning question: "can a man and woman ever really just be friends?"

Hill, who plays Harry, is best known for his performance as Jamie Baldwin in TV's "Coronation Street." Dunn, who plays Sally, is best known for playing Mandy Richardson in TV's "Hollyoaks." She has also appeared on stage in Boeing-Boeing and The Vagina Monologues.
