The two-person cast includes Aaron Landsman and Jenny Seastone Stern, who inhabit the play in which "a Real History Detective meets a gumptious young vagabond with a harrowing past. Together, they follow a paper trail of blood and tears that goes all the way back to this nation's beginning — or somewhere else. The play is about scouring the landscape and looking for the missing pieces."
American Treasure has set design by Jason Simms, costume design by Colleen Werthmann, lighting design by Ben Kato, with original music and sound design by Ryan Rumery.
Jarcho's plays also include A Small Hole, Take Me Away, All I Do Is Dream of You and The Highwayman.
Founded in 2003 to stage fully realized productions, rather than mere readings, 13P is comprised of Sheila Callaghan, Erin Courtney, Madeleine George, Rob Handel, Ann Marie Healy, Julia Jarcho, Young Jean Lee, Winter Miller, Sarah Ruhl, Katherine Ryan, Lucy Thurber, Anne Washburn and Gary Winter.
