Northlight to Ring in 2010 with E. Faye Butler and Her Trio Dec. 31

Chicago's Northlight Theatre will celebrate 2010 with the one-night-only event, New Year's Eve with E. Faye Butler and Her Trio, on Dec. 31 at 8 PM.

The evening will feature a song list that includes "Old Black Magic," "It Don't Mean a Thing," "Before the Parade Passes By" and "Summertime," among others.

Butler is a five-time Jeff Award winner for Best Actress in a Musical for her performances in Caroline, or Change at Court Theatre and Northlight's productions of Dinah Was and Ella. Butler has also received two BTAA Awards, an After Dark Award, a John Barrymore Award, a RAMI Award, an Excellence in the Arts Award, three Helen Hayes nominations, and an Ovations nomination.

She most recently played Motormouth Maybelle in Marriott Theatre's production of Hairspray, and her national and regional tour credits include Mamma Mia, Dinah Was, Ain't Misbehavin, Nunsense, Nunsense 2 and Don't Bother Me. Regionally she has appeared in The Wiz at La Jolla Playhouse, Seussical at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Little Shop of Horrors at Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre, Show Boat at Sacramento Music Theatre, and the 20th anniversary production of Hair at the Vic Theatre.
