Pop star Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who made her London stage debut as Roxie Hart in Chicago, reprises her performance for New York audiences in the Broadway cast of the Tony-winning Kander and Ebb musical.

Simpson-Wentz made her Broadway debut on Nov. 30 and will play a limited engagement as the merry murderess through Feb. 7, 2010, at Broadway's Ambassador Theatre. Roz Ryan returned to the company Nov. 30 in the role of Matron "Mama" Morton.

"I'm honored to be reprising my role as Roxie Hart, returning to the stage and joining this amazing cast," said Simpson-Wentz in a previous statement. "Being on Broadway is a childhood dream come true."

Chicago won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical in 1997 as well as awards for actors Bebe Neuwirth and James Naughton, director Walter Bobbie, lighting designer Ken Billington and choreographer Ann Reinking. The original production was directed and choreographed by the late Bob Fosse.
