Portman, Schreiber, Strathairn and Parker Featured in 2010 Sundance Film Fest Offerings

A host of theatre folk will be seen in films that will compete at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival in Utah.



The 2010 Sundance Film Festival runs January 21-31, 2010, in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, UT. Titles have been announced for U.S. and world cinema dramatic, documentary and narrative competitions.

Veteran Tony-winning comedienne Joan Rivers is represented in the documentary category with the world premiere of "Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work."

Dramatic U.S. films include "The Dry Land," featuring America Ferrera; "happythankyoumoreplease," with Pablo Schreiber, Josh Radnor and Zoe Kazan; "Hesher," starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Natalie Portman, Rainn Wilson, Devin Brochu, Piper Laurie and John Carroll Lynch; and "Holy Rollers," with Ari Graynor and Jesse Eisenberg.

Also competing is the Allen Ginsberg-inspired film "Howl," featuring James Franco, David Strathairn, Jon Hamm, Mary-Louise Parker, Jeff Daniels and Aaron Tveit; "Night Catches Us," with Anthony Mackie, Wendell Pierce and Kerry Washington; "Sympathy for Delicious," starring Orlando Bloom, Mark Ruffalo, Juliette Lewis, Laura Linney, John Carroll Lynch; "3 Backyards," including Edie Falco, Kathryn Erbe and Danai Gurira; and "Welcome to the Rileys," with James Gandolfini, Kristen Stewart and Melissa Leo.
