Case, Wetherhead, Balan and More Added to Scott Alan's Birdland Concert

Hair actress Alison Case, Kate Wetherhead and Courtney Balan will be part of the Dec. 7 Birdland concert featuring the songs of Scott Alan.



The 7 PM evening is presented as part of Jim Caruso's Cast Party. In addition to Case, Wetherhead (Legally Blonde) and Balan (The Marvelous Wonderettes), newly added are Marla Mindelle (South Pacific), Crystal Monee Hall (Rent), Lauren Thomas, Ellyn Marsh and Carrie Manolakos (Mamma Mia!).

They join a lineup that includes the previously announced Lauren Kennedy (Vanities, Sunset Boulevard), Carly Jibson (Cry-Baby, Hairspray), Allie Trimm (Bye Bye Birdie, 13), Shayna Steele (Hairspray), Natalie Weiss (Wicked), Julie Reiber (Wicked) and Nikki Renee Daniels (Les Miserables). Alan will also perform some of his own material in the evening.

Among the songs fans can expect to hear are "His Name," "Never Neverland (Fly Away)," "And There It Is" and "This Time." The evening will also boast selections from Alan's recordings "Dreaming Wide Awake" and "Keys."

Alan will accompany the performers in the evening that will also feature Allison Seidner and Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf on cello, David Gold and David Fallo on viola, with Victoria Paterson and Kiku Enomoto on violin.

Scott Alan wrote the book, music and lyrics for the musical Detour, which was seen in Los Angeles. Among his forthcoming projects are Piece and The Warmth of the Womb. His albums "Dreaming Wide Awake" and "Keys" are currently available. Alan also produces the monthly Monday Nights, New Voices concert at the Duplex.
