The Society of Composers & Lyricists will present an evening with Shrek's Jeanine Tesori in the Frederick Loewe Theatre in New York University's Steinhardt School.

The Dec. 14 event, entitled "Composer to Composer," will begin at 7 PM. Tesori will be interviewed by fellow theatre composer and SCL member Rob Reale.

This SCL event, according to press notes, "will focus on [Tesori's] journey from Broadway musician to music director to theater and film composer and will offer in-the-pit and behind the curtain accounts and anecdotes, featuring live performances of her recent work plus candid conversation about her creative process, both for stage and film."

Tesori received Tony Award nominations for her scores to Caroline, or Change; Thoroughly Modern Millie; Shrek; and Twelfth Night.

RSVP by email to rsvp@TheSCL.com by Dec.14 at 3 PM. There is a $20 admission for nonmembers; free for members and NYU Steinhardt students. Frederick Loewe Theatre @ NYU is located at 35 West 4th Street (Washington Sq./Greene St.).
