A host of songwriters take part in The Songs of Our Lives: Performed by the Songwriters Who Wrote Them Dec. 8 to benefit the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.

The 7 PM concert will be presented at the Little Flower Theater in Manhattan.

The one-night-only event features songwriters talking about – and performing — the songs they wrote. The program will include recollections from High School of Music and Art alumnus Charles Fox as well as songwriters Hal David, Alan Bergman, Charles Strouse, Paul Williams, Alan Menken and David Zippel. Tony Walton directs.

The work of other school alums — including songwriters Marilyn Bergman, Cy Coleman and Ed Kleban — will also be performed. Steve Tyrell and Lindsay Mendez are also part of the evening's entertainment.

The 500-seat Little Flower Theatre is located at 100 Amsterdam Avenue at 66th Street. Tickets are $300 and include a post-show reception with the songwriters and special guests at O'Neal's Restaurant (46 West 64th Street). There are a limited number of $150 tickets available for the concert only. To purchase tickets, call (212) 595-1301. For more information visit www.alumniandfriends.org.
