Brightman, Johnson, Karr, Mendez and Weiss Will Sing Ryan Scott Oliver Tunes at Joe's Pub

The work of composer-lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver, a 2009 Jonathan Larson Grant recipient, will be explored Jan. 25, 2010, at Joe's Pub.

RATED RSO: The Music & Lyrics of Ryan Scott Oliver will be presented at the intimate venue at 7:30 and 9:30 PM. Currently set to appear are Alex Brightman, Jay A. Johnson, Morgan Karr, Lindsay Mendez and Natalie Weiss.

The evening, according to press notes, will feature "an eclectic range of songs from RSO's musicals Mrs. Sharp and Darling, as well as some never-before-heard material, all of which will bring sexy schoolteachers, Bostonian rent-boys, obsessive homicidal teenagers, and fairy dust to the intimate nightspot."

Ryan Scott Oliver wrote the music and lyrics for Mrs. Sharp (2008 Richard Rodgers Award winner), Darling (Pace New Musicals 2009), the song cycle Out of My Head, music for Angus Oblong's The Debbies and music and co-lyrics for the YouTube TV show "The Battery's Down."
