The play, about twins named Otto, was previously seen at New Jersey's McCarter Theatre, where Mann is artistic director. Tony Award nominee Murray repeats his earlier McCarter role. This will mark the Playwrights Horizons debut of three-time Pulitzer Prize winner Albee (A Delicate Balance, Seascape, Three Tall Women).
Performances will begin in August 2010 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater on West 42nd Street. Complete dates and creative team will be announced in 2010.
Here's how Me, Myself & I is billed: "When identical twin brothers are both named Otto, how's a mother supposed to keep them straight? Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Edward Albee returns with this dark, funny and moving play that takes sibling rivalry to existential heights."
Albee is a three-time Tony Award winner also known for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, The Goat or, Who Is Sylvia?, All Over, The Play About the Baby, The Lady From Dubuque, Tiny Alice, The Sandbox, The American Dream, The Zoo Story/Peter and Jerry/At Home at the Zoo and more.
Murray appeared in Broadway's The Crucible, The Little Foxes and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead; and won an Obie Award for his work in Albee's The Play About the Baby.
Me, Myself & I had its world premiere at McCarter Theatre in January 2008, where it played to Feb. 17, 2008.
