Mark Setlock explores This Wonderful Life – a solo stage adaptation of the film "It's a Wonderful Life" – for one-night-only at the Westport Country Playhouse Dec. 10.

Setlock (Fully Committed) also conceived the production, which is directed Martha Banta. Steve Murray penned the live adaptation. Showtime is 8 PM.

The classic story, according to Westport, "tells of George Bailey, who on Christmas Eve, thinking himself a failure, attempts to jump off a snowy bridge. George is rescued by Clarence, his guardian angel, who gives George the chance to see what life would have been like without him."

Over the course of the evening, Setlock inhabits George Bailey, Clarence the Angel, Mary, Old Man Potter and 20 more of Bedford Falls' finest citizens.

Westport will also screen the holiday films "A Christmas Story" (Dec. 11); a sing-along of "White Christmas" (Dec. 12); and "Miracle on 34th Street" (Dec. 13). Additional programming includes The Klezmatics (Dec. 17); Rondi Charleston (Dec. 19); and the Broadway Boys (Dec. 20).
