Moran to Test Rehearsing Consciousness at the Emelin

Obie Award winner Martin Moran appear in a one-night-only presentation of his new solo work, Rehearsing Consciousness, at the Emelin Theatre in Mamaroneck, NY, Feb. 25, 2010.

Writer-actor Moran is aiming to debut Rehearsing Consciousness Off-Broadway. Seth Barrish (Sleepwalk with Me, The Tricky Part) directs the 8 PM performance.

According to press notes, "Moran takes us on a ride from Johannesburg to Colorado to backstage on Broadway, weaving a tale of midlife hilarity and heartbreak as he uncovers the unexpected connections between a New York actor and an African refugee, between rage and forgiveness, laughter and liberty."

Moran earned an Obie Award for his solo play The Tricky Part. He has appeared on Broadway in Spamalot, Bells Are Ringing, Cabaret, Titanic, How to Succeed In Business..., Big River and Oliver! Other credits include A Man of No Importance, The Cider House Rules, Doonesbury, Floyd Collins and The Making of Americans.
