Patrick Stewart and Kate Fleetwood are reprising their Tony-nominated performances in Macbeth for broadcast on BBC Television and PBS' Great Performances in the U.S.

London's Illuminations Programme and Film Production is shooting the film adaptation of the 2007 Chichester Festival Theatre production that transferred to Broadway in 2008 following its West End and Brooklyn Academy of Music engagements.
Evening Standard Award-winning director Rupert Goold (Enron) returns to direct the film that began lensing in the U.K. Midlands Nov. 22, according to the official website for Illuminations. Filming concluded Dec. 12.
Stewart is Macbeth opposite Fleetwood as his scheming wife. Also cast are original Macbeth company members Michael Feast as Macduff, Suzanne Burden as Lady Macduff, Scott Handy as Malcolm, Tim Treloar as Ross, Martin Turner as Banquo, Mark Rawlings as Lennox and Polly Frame, Niamh McGrady, Sophie Hunter as the Witches.
An air date for Macbeth has not been set.
